[AUDIO: Eddie's a little more quick and to the point this time, efficient without being impatient.]

I'm looking to find out who's presently working in the laboratory with some kind of project. Inmates and wardens both, though I understand that inmates need to be supervised by wardens. I'm not trying to cheat any rules. I want to get a feel for what everyone is studying in order to begin research on something else entirely, with the permission of my warden. He's been encouraging me to ask questions about the things I care about.

[Private to George]
Are you free this week for that date with Wichita?

[Private to Eddie Russet]
Would you have any interest in supervising me for a project in the lab starting at only one day per week with George's approval?

[Private to Martha]
I'm interested in working in the infirmary. George told me that he talked with you already about my getting started. I have no experience beyond some basic first aid and reading up on anatomy and some EMT materials, but I learn fast and I can work whatever hours you need.

Not at all. I'll work the rest of my schedule around whatever you work out. I get that training and medicine is more important than most of the things that go on around here and I intend to support and promote that as much as I can.

Brilliant. So you're an EMT, yeah?

I was certified as a paramedic back in New York City, but I admit I'm a little out of practice. I really just need some practical clinic hours to get back into the swing of things, then I'm sure I'll pick it up again.

Or you could train me to be a doctor if you're feeling motivated. Like I said, I learn fast.

Well, having a paramedic's background is having a hug leg up in your training.

I always aim for training everyone like a doctor so they know best how to think on their feet with medical stuff, but the difference is that no one without a medical degree has access to drugs.

I would hope that no inmates at all have access to the drugs, so I don't consider that offensive. The more important question is: when can we start?

I thought the inmate part went without saying. [Someones trying to be cautious after the whole Eddie thing.]

I try not to assume anything. If an inmate has a medical degree, I wanted to make sure that they weren't being granted access either. Unless you trust them, I guess. I'd trust your judgment over a general rule, but I admit I'd still be pretty damn hesitant about it, Martha.
